Five Maoists killed in encounter in Bihar


Patna,(BiharTimes): Five Maoists were killed and one personnel of CoBRA battalion of CRPF sustained injuries in an encounter at village Bandh Gorya in Aurangabad district of Bihar on Friday evening. According to reports security forces have recovered one AK-47, one carbine and two pistols from possession of the Maoist.

The injured jawan, Nagendra Kumar, is a head constable of CoBRA 205 battalion. He received a bullet injury on his right shoulder. He was rushed to Sadar hospital in Aurangabad, where doctors had referred him to Paras HMRI in Patna.

Police sources said a joint operation has been conducted by CRPF, CoBRA and district police
against the Maoists.
