Tejaswi assures foolproof security to construction firms


Patna,(BiharTimes): Assuring contractors of foolproof security, deputy chief minister-cum-road construction department minister, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, on Wednesday asked all construction firms to immediately inform the district magistrates and superintendents of police if they face any threat or obstacle in execution of their work.

Tejaswi, who called the meeting of all big contractors engaged in road and bridge projects worth above Rs 100 crore in Bihar, to allay their fears in the wake of recent killing of two engineers in Darbhanga, said even if it is a minor problem or obstacle from anyone, do not take it lightly. Inform the nearest police station as well as the DM and SP concerned who will act promptly on any such complaints.

He asked the RCD and the bridge corporation officials to take complaints of contractors seriously and forward them to the authorities concerned for prompt action.

RCD's principal secretary Sudhir Kumar, Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation chairperson Vinay Kumar and all senior RCD officers attended the meeting.
