Kirti driving Nitish away from Arun Jaitley?

Patna,(BiharTimes): If sources are to be believed Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar still has a good personal relationship with Union finance minister, Arun Jaitley. Early last month he flew to Delhi to attend the wedding of latter’s daughter.

During the 17 years long JD(U)-BJP association they were very good friends.

Yet of late he is being praised by Jaitley’s bête noire, Kirti Jha Azad, who not only called him a good administrator, but on Monday told the media in his parliamentary constituency, Darbhanga, that the chief minister is a man with good intentions, who just needs to overhaul the police force to curb the recent spurt in crime.

The suspended BJP MP counselled the chief minister to instil fear of law in the criminals.

It needs to be mentioned that his constituency, Darbhanga, is in the news for the murder of two engineers of a road construction firm.

Kirti Azad said that he had been raising the issue of corruption in DDCA (Delhi & District Cricket Association) for the last nine years. This has nothing to do with the politics. “Why have they sacked me for raising corruption in DDCA?” he asked.

He claimed BJP president Amit Shah had been misled into taking action against him.

Incidentally, the statement came a day after the chief minister flagged off a mobile eye-screening van, an initiative of Kirti Azad’s brother Dr Raj Vardhan Azad, at Patel Nagar on Sunday. He is a nationally famed eye-specialist.

It was here that Nitish told reporters that the rule of law prevails in Bihar and “will prevail in the future.”

The proximity between Kirti Azad and Nitish is being closely watched by the BJP.
