Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday questioned the rationale behind invitation extended by the road construction department to RJD chief Lalu Prasad in a government function for start of work on Didarganj-Bidupur bridge over river Ganga near Kachi Dargah in Patna on Sunday.

In a statement he said Lalu is neither a minister nor MP or MLA but a man who is on bail from a court in a fodder scam case. Why does not Nitish Kumar accord status of Super CM to Lalu, if he is under so much pressure?

He said that if Lalu has been invited in capacity of the former chief minister why was another former CMs, like Jitan Ram Manjhi and Dr Jagannath Mishra overlooked.

The former deputy chief minister also asked why the Union food minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, who is the MP of Hajipur, not invited; so were many leaders of Patna when the bridge would connect these two districts.
