JD(U) appears divided over re-induction of Manjhi

Patna,(BiharTimes): There is no one opinion in Janata Dal (United) over the induction of former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in the party.

While party’s spokesman, Sanjay Singh, said the Janata Dal (United) would never forgive Manjhi for his betrayal, another party leader and former minister Shyam Rajak said that in politics nothing can be ruled out.

They were reacting after Manjhi’s Sunday statement in which he called Nitish Kumar ‘mahan’ (great). He said that “it was because of Nitish’s ‘mahanta’ that I became the chief minister of Bihar”.

But Sanjay Singh was very categorical in his statement. “Was there any scarcity of leaders in JD(U) that Nitish made him the chief minister..

.There is no question of Manjhi returning to the party fold. There were many talented people, yet Nitish made him the chief minister.”

However, Shyam Rajak said that politics is a game of possibility and the door is open for him. “See what is his condition in the BJP,” the former minister said.

Another party MLA, Amarnath Gami, too said that Manjhi should bury the past and return to JD(U).
