Trying to convince Mulayam, says Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): While Janata Dal (United) is adopting an independent line in Uttar Pradesh, the president of alliance partner, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Saturday said that he was trying to convince his ‘samadhi’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav).

Speaking to the mediapersons on the occasion of Eid Milan party organized by him he called for united efforts to check the BJP.

He asked as to why home minister Rajnath Singh is so fearful that he wants armed security men to accompany him inside the flight.

“It would be better that he take five or six air force aircraft to guard him,” he said teasingly. He added that if the country’s home minister is feeling so insecured what would be the condition of the average people.

Commenting on defence minister Manohar Parrikar’s statement that after Lal Bahadur Shashtri, Narendra Modi is the best prime minister of India, the RJD chief said that almost all the Union ministers are engaged in ‘chaploosi’ (sycophancy).

He also made fun of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Somnath Temple on Friday.
He parried question on Zakir Naik.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar was also present on the occasion.
