CPI ML MLA of flood-hit Balrampur slaps bank manager

Patna,(BiharTimes): The CPI (ML) MLA from Balrampur in Katihar district, Mehboob Alam, slapped the manager of Allahabad Bank Rakesh Ranjan in full public view on Saturday afternoon.

The incident was caught on CCTV camera.

An FIR was lodged against the MLA.

After initiall denial the MLA admitted that he had hit the manage.

According to the MLA he was . touring the flood-affected villages in his constituency. When he reached the Gwaltoli area he found a crowd outside the bank. The people told the MLA that the branch manager used to exploit them.

Alam further narrated that as he entered the office and questioned the manager, the latter got angry and started to abuse him.

Rakesh, according to the MLA, asked him to get out.

“This made me angry and then the incident took place. After the incident, I contacted the police and the sub-divisional officer (Barsoi), to tell them about the incident.
