JD(U) blasts PM, BJP for nominating ‘tainted’ Gopal Narayan Singh for Rajya Sabha

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Even as there is uneasiness within the Bihar unit of BJP over the nomination of Gopal Narayan Singh the JD(U) on Tuesday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the saffron party for nominating “mining mafia” as its candidate for Rajya Sabha polls from Bihar.

JD(U) chief spokesman Sanjay Singh told reporters that Gopal Narayan Singh has 28 cases pending against him including those of attempt to murder, robbery, forgery, under Arms Act, Mining Act etc.

He asked the Prime Minister and the BJP president Amit Shah should explain as to why a mining mafia has been given a ticket. The prime minister “actions do not match his words”
