Patna,(BiharTimes): Prominent iron trader of the state, Sushil Varshney, was killed by unidentified criminals at the Gardania Chowk in Hajipur in Vaishali district while he was returning to the state capital late on Monday.

He was shot in the chest and was rushed to the government hospital in Hajipur where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’. The police have recovered used cartridges from the spot. Sushil used to deal in iron, rebars and Aligarh locks. His business is spread across Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, he had gone to meet the Vaishali SP in connection with a theft that took place at his factory where his employee has misappropriated Rs. 11 lakh.
