Patna,(BiharTimes): Though Bihar was positioned 21st last year it is at the top among all the states and Union Territories in terms of steps taken to improve ease of doing business.

Bihar is followed by Telangana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka on a ranking being done on real-time basis by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) on business reforms and action plans.

These rankings may change on the basis of initiatives taken by states and Union Territories. DIPP has stated that uploading and validation of reforms by states are underway and therefore “results and rankings displayed on this are highly dynamic”, that is they keep changing.

This year, the commerce and industry ministry is evaluating states on real time basis, which means that the rankings are dynamic. The evaluation is being done based on 340 parameters as against 91 last year.
