Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar JD(U) president Basistha Narayan Singh said on Thursday that the membership of former party MLA from Hilsa, Usha Sinha, will not be renewed.

Talking to the media the JD(U) President said since a government inquiry was going against her, it was decided not to keep her in the party.

The party took this decision after it came under pressure from different quarters.

At present she is not occupying any party position. Since the party has undertaken a new membership drive, it had been decided that her membership would not be renewed. Janata Dal (United) has planned to make 25 lakh members.

Usha is the wife of former chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, L alkeshwar Prasad Sinha. Both she and her husband are absconding in the toppers scam case.
