R K Singh accuses Nitish of allowing Lalkeshwar, Usha flee from country

Patna,(BiharTimes): Accusing the Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for giving enough buffer time to the accused in toppers scam to escape abroad Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’ Ara MP R K Singh criticized the Bihar government for their failure in tracing former Chairman of Bihar School Examination Board Lalkeshwar Prasad Sinha and his politician wife, Usha Sinha.

Talking to India Today channel, Singh attacked Nitish Kumar government for not issuing arrest warrant against Lalkeshwar and Usha Sinha until Thursday when the FIR was filed against the duo on June 8. The arrest warrant was issued on June 15.
“I have heard that they have fled to London. The government gave them opportunity to flee. Police could have got arrest warrant earlier and posted lookout notice so that they did not flee abroad,” said Singh, a former Union home secretary, who had served as a senior bureaucrat during Lalu-Rabri and Nitish Kumar rules.

He went on to lambast Nitish for ‘deliberately’ allowing Lalkeshwar Prasad to continue as Chairman of the BSEB even after knowing about the fake marksheets were awarded to students.

"It was an open secret that fake mark sheets were being given by BSEB but still Lalkeshwar Sinha was allowed to remain Chairman for so long. Nitish is responsible for bringing education in Bihar to the lowest level. Nitish has done great disservice to Bihar", said Singh

What R K Singh left unsaid is that the degeneration in education started when the BJP was an alliance partner of Nitish and R K Singh a very senior bureaucrat and the saffron party leaders and workers openly worked to ensure victory of Usha Sinha in 2010 election.
