Woman lodges assault case against Muzaffarpur BJP MLA

 

 

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): Muzaffarpur Town BJP MLA Suresh Sharma was on Sunday interrogated by police after Kiran Kumari (30), a resident of Gannipur locality under Qazi Mohammadpur police station of the town, lodged an FIR against him. She accused Suresh Sharma of attacking her with a stick in front of his henchmen and thus causing a head injury when she went to his residence to demand her money.

The police allowed Sharma to go and said investigations were being conducted.

She said her husband, Dharmendra Kumar Singh, a BJP worker had, at the behest of the MLA, had sold his paternal property to give a loan of Rs 35 lakh to Sanjay Kumar Yadav during the UP Assembly election of 2007, which the latter unsuccessfully contested. The MLA had assurance that the money would be returned soon. 

As Sanjay started avoiding her husband he went to meet the MLA on Saturday but Suresh and his men assaulted and threw Singh out. 

According to her Sharma had assured her husband many times in the past that he would intervnee into the matter and also assured him of helping him get the BJP ticket from Baniapur in Saran district in the Bihar Assembly election last year.

Kiran said that on Sunday morning she went to MLA’s residence but he attacked her.

SSP R K Mishra confirmed the incident.

The MLA, who has been in controversies in the past too, denied all the charges levelled by the woman.
Kiran is getting treated at Sadar hospital.
