RJD MLA apologizes for use of unparliamentary language

Patna,(BiharTimes): The first-time RJD MLA from Brahmapur in Buxar, Shambhu Yadav, apologized for the use of unparliamentary language in the state Assembly on Wednesday.

Shambhu, 51, a former bodyguard of RJD supremo and former chief minister Lalu Prasad, apologized after the BJP MLAs insisted for apology.

The House was adjourned twice, as the BJP legislators led by leader of opposition Prem Kumar sought Shambhu Yadav’s apology for his ‘violent posturing’ and use of threatening language against the opposition MLAs.

The incident occurred when senior BJP MLA Ram Narain Mandal was presiding over the House in absence of speaker Vijay Chaudhary. The trouble started while RJD member Nawaz Alam was speaking against the Cut Motion on the transport department’s budgetary demand earlier moved by another senior BJP member Arun Kumar Sinha.

Mandal adjourned the House twice, first for 15 minutes and then for half an hour.

Later Shambhu said he was willing to apologize twice if the BJP lawmakers also agreed that they would not make any “teeka-tipanni” during the speech of another MLA.

At that time speaker Vijay Chaudhary was in the chair.
