Route of five express trains to be diverted via Pataliputra from August 1



Patna,(BiharTimes): Route of five pairs of long distance express trains running via Barauni-Mokamah-Patna section has been changed to Barauni-Shahpur Patori-Sonepur-Pataliputra Junction-Danapur route.

The Railway Board has approved the diversion of route. They would start running on new route from August 1, 2016.

According to an East Central Railway notification, the five trains are: Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (12423-12424), Guwahati-Anand Vihar North East Express (12505-12506), Guwahati-New Delhi Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express (12501-12502), Kamakhya-Lokman Tilak Express (12519-12520) and Jogbani-Anand Vihar Seemanchal Express (12487-12488).

These trains will have stoppages at Pataliputra Junction. The Guwahati-New Delhi Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express will only have operational stoppage at Pataliputra Junction where the crew of the train will change. Temporary stoppage of two minutes of these trains at Danapur station have also been allowed.
As they will not touch Patna they will have stoppage at Danapur.
