Patna,(BiharTimes): Creating ruckus in the Bihar Assembly on Tuesday the BJP MLAs demanded dismissal of state minister Abdul Ghafoor for visiting Siwan jail to meet imprisoned former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin on March 6.

Leader of Opposition Prem Kumar drew Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary’s attention toward the issue during the Zero Hour and demanded that Minorities Welfare Minister Abdul Ghafoor be sacked as he had indulged in an act of impropriety.

When the Speaker paid no heed to the issue, all BJP MLAs except Prem Kumar and Nand Kishore Yadav, rushed into the well of the House and raised slogans against the minister and the Grand Alliance government.

The Speaker, however, continued with the proceedings amid slogan-shouting for about half an hour before adjouring the House till 2 PM.

Later Abdul Ghafoor, while defending himself, said that he did no wrong as many senior ministers had met convicted prisoners in the past.
