Bindi is the husband of JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi and Rajesh was her official bodyguard.

Bindi conceded that Rocky had fired but in self-defence after he was attacked by the boys following dispute.

The police charged him with harbouring and facilitating the escape of Rocky.
The vehicle, Range Rover, used by the alleged killer has been recovered from the Anugrah Puri Colony residence of the MLC.

Aditya, a student of Class-XII of Gaya’s premier school, Nazareth Academy, was along with friends returning from Bodh Gaya after attending a birthday function.

Reports said that the incident took place on the backside of Gaya Central Jail and Police lines is not far away.

Rocky chased the Swift, which overtook, got it stopped and shot the boy. Aditya was later declared dead by ANMMCH doctors.

It remains a mystery as to why the MLC’s police bodyguard was accompaning her son.
Angry citizens blocked Swarajpuri Road in protest against the incident and demanded strict action against all those involved.

Incidentally, Gaya Town segment is being represented by the leader of opposition, Prem Kumar, who strongly denounced the incident and asked as to why is chief minister Nitish Kumar roaming about all over the country, when Bihar is burning.

However, deputy chief minister Tejaswi Yadav and JD(U) spokesman, Ajay Alok, said that no person howsoever powerful and influential he or she is would be spared.

Politics apart, there is no denying the fact that Bindi is notorious for his terror in the town and has been to jail several times.

Even at the height of the ‘Sushasan’ a senior JD(U) leader of the district wanted to induct him into the party, but he failed in his efforts.

However, after the JD(U) snapped ties his wife got a place in the Upper House of the state Assembly. There was always an effort to counter the influence of Surendra Yadav, the Belaganj MLA in the district politics.
