Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday evening suspended the party MLC Manorama Devi whose son Rakesh Rocky Ranjan was earlier in the day arrested in connection with the killing of Aditya Sachdeva in a road rage incident on Saturday night.

The announcement came after the party president and chief minister Nitish Kumar returned from Dhanbad, where he was invited by women groups campaigning against alcoholism.

According to the state party president, Bashistha Narayan Singh, the party has suspended Manorama Devi following recovery of liquor from her Gaya house during a raid at her house on Monday night.

Manorama Devi is the wife of notorious criminal, Bindi Yadav, who is technically still in RJD.

The recovery of liquor bottles from the house of party MLC a day before Nitish was to address a meeting against alcoholism in Dhanbad came as a setback to the chief minister.
