GRP jawan killed in running train

Patna,(BiharTimes): A Government Railway Police jawan belonging to Uttar Pradesh was shot dead, while another seriously injured by criminals on Mughalsarai-Buxar EMU on the Bihar-UP border late on Friday night.

They also took away INSAS rifles and cartridges of both the jawans before getting down from the train as it slowed down. The incident occurred soon after the train left the Chausa railway station for Buxar.
The involvement of Maoists can not be ruled out.

Reports said that four criminals fired at the two GRP personnel in the train at about 11 PM on Friday.
According to Railway SP Jitendra Mishra while GRP jawan Abhishek Singh of Uttar Pradesh died on the spot, his colleague Nand Lal Yadav was grievously injured. He was rushed to hospital in Benaras after being provided first-aid in Buxar.

It was he who informed the GRP Buxar about the incident.
Blood was found splattered all over the coach in which the jawans were performing their duty.
