Why is BJP mum over killing of Bihari student in Kota and subsequent remarks of its MLA: RJD, JD(U)

Patna,(BiharTimes): The killing of a student from Bihar in Kota and subsequent remarks by the local BJP MLA have provided enough ammunition to the beleaguered Grand Alliance leader to strike back and question the silence of what they alleged ‘garrulous’ Sushil Kumar Modi and other saffron party leaders.

Satya Prakash, a student from Bihar, was virtually lynched by rival gangs of students in Kota a couple of days back. On Friday, the Kota MLA of ruling BJP, Bhawani Singh Rajawat, rubbed salt into the wounds by alleging that “students from Bihar are spoiling the atmosphere of the city and they must be driven out.”

“About 50 people killed a student from Bihar at Kota in a barbaric manner. The people who have been beating drum of Jungle Raj in Bihar, should now tell public whose government is in Rajasthan?” Deputy chief minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav told mediapersons on Saturday.

The deputy chief minister reiterated why Jungle Raj slur is not being used for all those states where incidents of murder and other serious crimes are higher than Bihar.

Expressing his deep concern over the murder of Satya Prakash, he wrote a letter to Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje.

On the other hand JD(U) leader, K C Tyagi, termed Rajawat’s remarks as highly objectionable and an insult to entire Bihar and asked the BJP leaders to break their silence.

According to him such anti-Bihar remarks are made by Shiv Sena. Now the BJP leaders have learnt it from them.

Tyagi claimed that Satya Prakash was brutally murdered at Kota because he had been protesting against the “wrongdoings” of some 'tuition mafia who have been indulged in leaking question papers of competitive examinations.

Tyagi came down heavily on the former deputy CM and asked “why Sushil Kumar Modi, who use to speak on every issue, is silent over the Kota MLA’s highly objectionable remarks.”

Rajya Sabha MP of JD(U) Ali Anwar said that the Rajasthan government should probe the matter and arrest those involved in the killing rather than indulge in blame game as it is a tragic incident.
