Excise Secretary serves legal notice to SuMo for reportedly calling him ‘sanki’, ‘nirankush’

Patna,(BiharTimes): Principal Secretary (Excise, Provision and Registration) K K Pathak has issued a legal notice to senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi for allegedly using words like ‘sanki’ (eccentric or cynic) and ‘nirankush’ (autocrat) against him.

He said that he is a “public servant whose duty is betterment of public safety and security”. Besides his actions are always “under control of the government and the honourable court.”

The legal notice was served to SuMo on Tuesday through his counsel Sanjay Singh. It asked the BJP leader to clarify within 15 days whether he had made those remarks or the media reported the same on its own. He attached a copy of the report published in a Hindi daily on May 5.

The senior IAS officer described Sushil Modi’s reported remarks as “indecent, unlawful, disgraceful and derogatory” and added that his “sentiment and dignity have been hurt by it”.

Whether SuMo has used these words or not is for him to explain, there is no denying the fact that the BJP leaders have been attacking Pathak for strict enforcement of prohibition in Bihar.
