Bihar ministers can present papers abroad on government expense

 

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): The ministers in the Bihar cabinet can now travel abroad at the expense of the government to present their research papers or to deliver lectures at international conferences or seminars.


A decision to this effect was taken at a cabinet on Tuesday evening.


According to Cabinet Secretariat Department’s protocol officer Upendra Nath Pandey the cabinet gave its nod to bring about a change in the Ministers of Bihar (salary and allowances) Rules, 2006 which paves the way for allowing ministers to travel at the government’s expenses to present his/her research papers or to address lectures at international conferences abroad.


The ministers hitherto did not have the facility of going abroad on government expenditure for presenting their research papers or participating in a lecture in an international conference out of the country.


The cabinet also gave its approval to create 110 posts to implement the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal system. Fifty-five posts would be of Deputy Secretary of Bihar Administrative Service, while 55 others would be of shorthand typists for the purpose.


It would be implemented from June 5.


It also decided to conduct examination for the appointment of Amin in the state, who help in carrying out land measurements.


Anyone having 10+2 or equivalent qualification from the State Examination Board would have to appear for a written test to get selected for this post,
