Journalist lodges FIR against JD(U) MLC after receiving death threat from his supporters

Patna,(BiharTimes): Biharsharif-based journalist associated with a Hindi daily, Rajesh Singh, on Thursday, lodged an FIR at the Laheri police station of the town against a Janta Dal (United) MLC Heer Prasad Bind and four of his supporters after receiving death threats.
According to the FIR four supporters of the legislators entered his office at Biharsharif and threatened to kill him. They wanted him to apologise to Bind and contradict the report published about him.
Rajesh said he would identify them if they were produced before him. They also said that he would meet the same fate as that of Siwan journalist.

It needs to be recalled that Rajdeo Ranjan, bureau chief of Hindi daily, Hindustan, was killed in Siwan on May 13 evening.

Needless to say Biharsharif is the headquarters of Nalanda district, the home turf of chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Nalanda Superintendent of Police confirmed that an FIR had been lodged against Bind and four others and assured that anyone found involved in the crime would not be spared.
