Congress asks Modi government to explain what it has done for Bihar in last two years

Patna,(BiharTimes): Asking as to what has happened to promises of special category status and special package made by Narendra Modi during his election campaigns in 2014 and 2015 the Congress party on Tuesday called upon the BJP to produce before public the evidences for the works done for Bihar by the NDA government in the Centre in the last two years.

In a statement the spokesman of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, Harkhu Jha, said that on May 27, when the BJP is going to organize special mega-functions at nine places in Bihar, the saffron party leaders and Union ministers from state should explain what they have actually done for the state. The BJP is going to organize 200 such shows all over the country on May 27.

“We want to ask whether state unit of BJP will produce necessary evidences at all nine places informing how many works the Narendra Modi led government has done for Bihar and its people in the last two years,” Harkhu Jha said.

The fact, according to Jha, is that the BJP-led NDA government virtually tried to stall several ongoing programmes in Bihar by making unnecessary curtailment in their central share. The annual allocation of people-oriented schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Indira Awas Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Gramya Sarak Yojna and many more have been slashed.

He flayed the Modi government for rise in prices of essential commodities especially pulses.

The Congress party also questioned lavish expenditure of taxpayers’ money for organizing such mega-shows across the country.
