Air ambulance with patient from Patna crashlands in Delhi, two hurt

 

Patna,(BiharTimes): An air ambulance carrying a patient from Patna crashlanded just before landing in open field at village Khair in Najafgarh, about 11-12 kms from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The accident took place at about 2:40 PM on Tuesday.
Luckily only two persons on board sustained injuries.

There were in all seven persons including a patient and two pilots in the small twin engine turbo prop Sea-king C90A (VT-EQO). The pilot was forced to land in open fields in the village after the engines developed snags.
The injured were rushed to nearby Rao Tula Ram Hospital in Delhi.
Those travelling in the plane were Birendra Roy, patient, Juhi Roy, his daughter, Bhagwan Roy, Dr Rupesh, Dr Jung Bahadur, Captain Amit and co-pilot Rohit.

Reports said that the aircraft had reached Patna on Tuesday morning and was being operated by Alchemist Airways Pvt Ltd.

Forty-five year old Birendra Roy was suffering from diabetes, kidney failure, and brain haemorrhage. He was admitted to Jagdish Memorial Hospital in Kankarbagh in the city in wee hours of May 23.

This was the second incident of air ambulance crash carrying patient of the Jagdish Memorial Hospital. On May 26, 2011, another air ambulance carrying patient from the hospital in Patna crashed in Faridabad killing all seven on board and three others on ground.
