No achievement visible on ground during two years of Modi rule: Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): Commenting on the completion of two years of Narendra Modi government Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Thursday claimed that nothing concrete was achieved during this period.

Instead the Modi government has only ‘vitiated’ the atmosphere in academic institutions and society, he said in a statement.

For this he cited the examples of turmoil in various institutions, including Hyderabad Central University, JNU, suicide of Rohit Vaimula and arrest of Kanhaiya Kumar and others in sedition charges.

He came down heavily on the Centre for creating an atmosphere as if the country had sunk into an era of disappointment earlier and only Gujarat was shining.

He reiterated that for the first time any Prime Ministerial candidate played up his caste card to win the support of the poor and backward. He also referred to the NDA government renegading on its poll promise of bringing back black money that would come back to the country.

Lalu also referred to the rise in suicide by farmers and big increase in prices of essential commodities, that too, when the global oil price has sharply come down.
