Patna,(BiharTimes): Demanding an alternative to their toddy business a handful of members of Pasi community protested outside the Police Line ground in Muzaffarpur on Saturday.

According to SSP Vivek Kumar the protesters tried to barge into the venue but were prevented from doing so as the policemen locked the gate. The protesters were also waving black flags. They were agitated over the problem their community has been facing since total prohibition was enforced in the state on April 5.

No one was detained.
In another incident police had to use mild lathicharge to disperse some women who were protesting against their denial of entry into the venue.
