Bihar can achieve top position in industrial growth: Nitish
Patna,(BiharTimes): Stating that there is tremendous scope for growth of industry in Bihar, chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday identified agriculture and industry as the core sectors.
Urging entrepreneurs to invest in the state he called on them to work in the direction of developing private industrial areas in the state for proper industrial progress.
Addressing a Udyami Panchayat (Entrepreneurs’ Meet) at ‘Samvad’ Auditorium, he said a positive atmosphere has been created in the state for industrial investment. He said there is rule of law in Bihar and there has been a rapid development in the area of infrastructure, water, electricity, health and education.
Saying that Bihar is a big market and has huge human resources he said the state has all capabilities to achieve top position in industrial growth.
This was the first such meeting with industrialists and traders of Bihar after the formulation of Bihar Industrial Policy, 2016 which came into effect on Sep 1, 2016.
The new policy promises incentives to them such as reimbursement of stamp duty and land conversion fees.
The chief minister announced the formation of a committee under Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh which would have the principal secretaries of Finance, Commercial Taxes and Industries as members.
