Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad have denounced the Narendra Modi government for imposing a 24-hour long ban on telecast of NDTV India on November 9.
While strongly condemning the action Nitish Kumar said that it amounts to gagging of Press and curbing of freedom of speech.
On the other hand Lalu, who was in Lucknow on Saturday, said that the Centre was s targeting NDTV simply because it had been exposing the misdeeds and evil designs of the Narendra Modi government, RSS and BJP.
Stating that it is a direct attack on democray he said that the action reminds one of Emergency.
