K C Tyagi, Pawan Varma, Harivansh made JD(U)’s national spokesmen
Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) president and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday nominated senior Rajya Sabha MP, K C Tyagi, former diplomat Pawan Varma and journalist-turned-politician Harivansh as the national spokesmen of the party.
Though Tyagi was earlier close to former president Sharad Yadav he is now considered as a close confidant of Bihar CM. The other two spokesmen had always been close and trusted lieutenants of Nitish.
Varma, a regular face in TV studios, was India’s ambassador to Bhutan before he took pre-mature retirement to join JD(U). He was made cultural advisor to chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Harivansh is the editor of Hindi daily, Prabhat Khabar.
Both Tyagi and Varma are originally from Uttar Pradesh.
