SuMo accuses Nitish of circumventing Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana

Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday criticized the state government for tardy implementation of rural electrification scheme.

Talking to the media on the sidelines of Janata Darbar outside his residence he said the intensive electrification is pending in 16,000 villages out of more than 40,000 in Bihar.

Reacting hours after chief minister Nitish Kumar launched Har Ghar Bijli Lagataar (Uninterrupted electricity supply to every household) programme, he flayed the chief minister for circumventing the Centre’s rural electrification scheme, Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, to take credit for electrification of villages in Bihar under a new scheme.

It needs to be mentioned that after coming to power in the Centre the Narendra Modi government changed the name of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutkaran Yojana into Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.
