Cabinet nod for acquiring land for construction of civil enclave at Bihta airport





Patna,(Bihar)* The state cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod to a proposal for acquiring 126.4075 acres of land at Bihta, some 35 km west of Patna, for construction of civil enclave.


According to Principal Secretary to the Cabinet department Brajesh Mehrotra the cabinet gave its nod to the proposal of Cabinet Coordination department to allocate Rs 2,60,74,02,668 for acquiring the land.


He said out of this, 108 acres of land would be handed over free of cost to Airport Authority of India for usage. The cabinet gave its green signal to 19 proposals of different departments at the meeting. It gave the go ahead to a Transport department proposal to amend taxes under different headings in the Motor Vehicle Act, 1992.


A proposal of the Law department for nominating Patna High Court judge Navniti Prasad as working chairman of Bihar Legal Services Authority was also approved.
