Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Tuesday cancelled the affiliation of 56 more schools and Intermediate colleges as part of its drive to weed out corruption and unfair means in examination.

The affiliation of these institutions was suspended after a preliminary investigation into the scam.

With this the tally of such institutions has reached 124. The BSEB had put 212 schools under scanner after the scam was unearthed.

The Board on Tuesday also suspended the affiliation of 21 more schools.

Nineteen of these institutes, whose affiliation has been cancelled, were situated in Gaya districts; 11 each in Saran and Madhubani, five in West Champaran, two each in Patna and Lakhisarai and one each in Nalanda, Buxar, Aurangabad, Arwal, Purnia and Jamui districts.
