PM’s envoys get first hand reactions of demonetization

Patna,(BiharTimes): Traders and farmers of Muzaffarpur on Wednesday expressed strong displeasure before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s envoys, who arrived in the city to take stock of the situation and gather feedback in the aftermath of demonetisation.

The team was led by Palka Sahni, the deputy secretary in ministry of commerce and industry.

Reports said representatives of North Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI), North Bihar Textile Merchant Union, farmers, and the retail traders minced no words in criticizing the November 8 decision.

They were of the view that all the agriculture, trading and industrial activities have come to a standstill after demonetization.

Sahni admitted there are problems but added it would not continue for long.
