Patna,(BiharTimes): The Patna High Court on Friday granted bail to Nawada MLA, Raj Ballabh Yadav, who has been charged with raping a minor girl on February 6 last.
On August 20 he was granted interim bail by the same court.
Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge (I) Biharsharif, Shashi Bhushan Prasad Singh, on June 6 had framed charges against Raj Ballabh, who was then suspended by his party, RJD.
The charges were framed under various Sections of IPC that includes 376 for raping a girl besides Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012, Special Public Prosecutor Shyameshwar Dayal said.
Charges have also been framed against the other five accused persons––Sulekha Devi, Radha Devi, Tulsi Devi, Chhoti Kumari and Sandeep––under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act. They were accused of supplying girls to Raj Ballabh.
