MLC Manorama Devi alleges theft in her house after seal removed

Patna,(BiharTimes): Assets worth over Rs one crore, including Rs 15 lakh cash, three licensed weapons––one DBL gun, one rifle and one revolver––and other valuables like gold and silver ornaments were reportedly missing from the house of suspended JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi in Gaya after its seal was opened on Saturday on the directives of the Patna high court.

The MLC reportedly raised a hue and cry alleging some foul play though officials are not taking her version very seriously.  The Anugrah Puri Colony house was sealed by the district administration following recovery of liquor bottles on May 11 when police raided the house in search of her son, Rocky, who had allegedly killed a teenage boy Aditya Sachdeva on May 7 after the latter’s car overtook his Range Rover.

The MLC Manorama Devi was arrested. Her husband, Bindi Yadav, a former Crime Control Act detainee, too was arrested after the road rage incident involving his son. The two got bails from Patna high court some days back
