Cabinet nod for Science City at Rajendra Nagar in Patna






Patna,(BiharTimes): The Bihar cabinet on Friday allocated 20.48 acres of land in Rajendra Nagar in the state capital to set up a Science City in the state capital.

It would be named after former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and it would come up at Saidpur near Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in the eastern part of Rajendra Nagar.

According to Cabinet Secretariat Department Principal Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra the state cabinet on Friday cancelled the tranfer of 15.56 acres of land for the construction of Science City and has instead transferred 20.48 acres of land free of cost  for the purpose to the Science and Technology department. The state cabinet had earlier allocated 15.56 acres for developing a Science City.

The land which was transferred to Science and Technology department originally belonged to Art, Culture and Youth Affairs department.
