Suspended Mohania SDO posted as environment and forest department as OSD
Patna,(BiharTimes): Suspended sub-divisional officer of Mohania (Kaimur), Dr Jitendra Gupta, was on Friday posted as officer on special duty in environment and forest department in Patna.
Dr Gupta was arrested on July 12 night on the charge of accepting bribe of Rs 80,000 from truck drivers at Mohania. A week later he was suspended.
However, he was later granted bail by the court.
His suspension was revoked with effect from August 11, the date he reported his joining in the general administration department after being released from the Beur central jail.
It was on August 9 that the Patna high court had granted bail to him.
While granting bail, Justice Hemant Kumar Srivastava had directed Dr Gupta to cooperate in the investigation.
The IAS Officers’ Association had then taken up his arrest with the chief minister.
