Patna,(BiharTimes): Principal Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms, Vyasji Mishra, on Thursday applied for voluntary retirement just three weeks before his retirement at the end of this month.
Principal Secretay Home and GAD, Amir Subhani, confirmed the news and said VRS was in process of getting accepted. VRS has been applied for with effect from September 12.
Vyasji is in the rank of chief secretary and is holding additional charge of Principal Secretry Disaster Management.
There are speculations that he is likely to take up a post in one of the government bodies after retirement.
There is chances that he would either be made the chairman of Disaster Management Authority or member Bihar Land Tribunal.
He is among some some senior bureaucrats who have been posted after retirement in government bodies.
Early this year Sudhir Kumar has taken retirement just weeks before retirement and joined as advisor, road construction department.
In the past few years several other officers have been accommodated in various Commissions soon after retirememnt.
