Nitish refutes infighting is a trait of socialists

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday took a pot shot at the infighting in the ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a public meeting at Patthardeva in Deoria district in east Uttar Pradesh he, while referring to Mulayam Singh Yadav’s family, said they are fighting among themselves. Strangely, they call such a drama as socialism, which is far from true.

Refuting the impression created by them that the socialists fight among themselves but unite just before the election Nitish invited them to Bihar to see the real face of socialism.

“We have by our work shown that we are real Samajwadi. We just do not call ourselves so,” he said adding that banning liquor in Bihar was a socialist step.

Elaborating it futher he said earlier labour class used to spend half of their earning on drinking. But now 1.19 crore people of the state have pledged that they would not touch alcohol and help the government in complete prohibition.

Speaking as the national president of Janata Dal (United) he urged the party rank and file to gear up for the Assembly election and ensure victory to the party in 2017 Assembly poll.

Deoria is on the border of Bihar and has recently been visited by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Union home minister Rajnath Singh.
