Young Bihar-origin innovator only Indian invited by Obama





Patna,(BiharTimes): Twenty four-year-old Sharad Sagar, founder and CEO of Dexterity Global, who is originally from Bihar, has been invited by US President Barack Obama to the White House to attend a special gathering of world leaders.

He is the only Indian who will be attending the “South by South Lawn: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art and Action” event to be held on  October 3, 2016.

Innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers from around the world would be attending the event.

The official White House statement said: “the event will bring together creators, innovators, and organisers who work day in and day out to improve the lives of people around the world. It is a celebration of the great work these people have already accomplished.”

Sharad has received global recognition many times.

 

Earlier this year, he featured in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under-30 List, alongside the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Malala Yousafzai.

He is also the highest-ranked Indian on the List of the World’s Most Powerful Young Entrepreneurs, and was listed among the “100 Next Century Innovators” by the Rockefeller Foundation in 2013.

He founded Dexterity Global in 2008 when he was just 16. Today, Dexterity Global impacts over 1.2 million children annually in India and other parts of South Asia through its ecosystem of educational platforms.
