Patna,(BiharTimes): A 20-year-old girl from Gopalganj of Bihar studying in Kota (Rajasthan) committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her room. She was a student of BSc in a private college there.
A Times of India report from Kota said that the body was found by her mother on Wednesday morning, after which she informed police. The girl was living with her mother and two brothers, who are also students. The family is living in Kota for the children’s education. Their father was on a visit to the family when the incident happened.
The report said that police have recovered a suicide note from the girl’s room, in which she has written nobody should be held responsible for her suicide. While asking police not to harass her family, she also sought her parents’ forgiveness.
According to SI Ram Swaroop, the girl had attended a party on Monday evening. “Her mother told us she appeared disturbed and did not talk much to the family members ever since she returned from the party,” the police official was quoted in the daily.
Police have recorded the statements of the family members and neighbours.
“We are investigating the case and may question her college friends to get more details,” Swaroop said..
