Patna,(BiharTimes): The bullet-riddled body of the uniformed assistant sub-inspector posted in Nalanda district, Ram Raj Choudhary, was found lying in a pool of blood on Patna-Bakhtiyarpur Expressway four kilometres from Fatuha in Patna district on Saturday.
He was on his way to Manihari in Katihar district via Patna from the Telhara police station in Nalanda on a motorbike, which was found lying near the body.
According to reports the ASI was to board a train from Patna, but was accosted by the attackers at about 3 pm and shot twice in the head and shoulder. The assailants took away with his service revolver.
Choudhary’s mobile phone and a bag was recovered from the spot.
