Bashishtha re-elected Bihar JD(U) chief unopposed

 

 






Patna,(BiharTimes): Bashishtha Narayan Singh was on Sunday re-elected unopposed  as the president of Bihar unit of Janata Dal (United) in Patna.

 The State Returning Officer of the party, Janardan Prasad Singh declared him elected unopposed as the state unit president and gave away certificate to him at the party’s state headquarters.

He said as Bashishtha Narayan Singh was the lone candidate who filed the nomination papers till Saturday, the last date of filing nomination, so he declared the Rajya Sabha MP elected unopposed.

Bashishtha was made the party’s state unit president for the first time in December 2010 following the resignation of the then president Vijay Kumar Choudhary after the latter was inducted into the Nitish Kumar cabinet after latter was re-elected as the CM in November 2010.
