School teachers offered annual package of Rs 5.4 lakh at campus selection
Patna,(BiharTimes): It was campus selection with a difference. Those selected were not new pass out from any engineering college, but graduates from a B.Ed college of Patna. And some of the candidates selected at the annual package almost double than B Tech graduates.
The campus selection, which was organized at St Xavier’s College of Education, Patna on Friday, attracted at least 42 schools from Bihar and Jharkhand.
A package of Rs 5.4 lakh (Rs 45,000 per month) each was offered to seven students. Others were also selected in prestigious schools at slightly less pay package.
D Y Patil Pushpalata Patil International School-Patna selected the maximum number of teachers. Some schools gave appointment letters on the spot whereas many called the candidates to their own campuses for the final call.
College principal Fr Thomas Perumalil SJ congratulated the selected teacher trainees.
