NDA leaders involved in Srijan Scam not yet arrested

Patna,(BiharTimes): It remained a mystery as to why the ruling Janata Dal (United) expelled Shiv Kumar Mandal, party’s Bhagalpur District Yuva Morcha president, more than 10 days after the arrest of his father, Mahesh Mandal, an accused in the multi-crore Srijan Scam.
Incidentally, the action came on the day his father died in custody

Both Shiv and his paternal uncle, Dinesh Mandal, had accused that Mahesh, suffering from kidney disease, was actually killed as the officials wanted to save top politicians and bureaucrats alleged to be involved in the scam.
However, the Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday took action against Shiv for his alleged involvement in the Rs 1,000-crore Srijan Scam.

However, it remained unanswered as to whyShiv was not arrested if his name really figured in the scam.
JD(U)’s alliance partner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had last week suspended its Kisan Morcha Vice President Vipin Sharma, considered to be  the kingpin of the Scam, from the party after his name surfaced.

He too is at large.
Police said he was closely associated with Srijan, which was at the centre of the scam, and his wife worked as the Director of a cooperative bank run by Srijan.
Similarly, though the SIT has reportedly managed to obtain evidences of a nexus between Srijan and RLSP leader  Abhishek Verma alias Deepak Verma, he has not yet been arrested.
His house in Sabour was raided on Monday and Tuesday.
Verma is the district president of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP). The SIT sleuths have found 58 documents that show huge investments by Verma and his brother Babloo Verma. Their wives are members of the executive committee of Srijan, the documents suggest.
The involvement of these three leaders of NDA constituents have come as an embarrassment for the ruling combination in Bihar. As these leader have link with the top state level leaders of their respective parties the opposition parties are alleging that they were used as a conduit by the senior leaders.
RJD leader Lalu Prasad has recently released photos of Manorama Devi, the main accused, with chief minister Nitish Kumar.
