Bihar BJP office ransacked by anti-quota activists

Patna,(BiharTimes): A large number of youths under the banner of Swarna Sena attacked the state BJP office here on Friday and ransacked it. They manhandled the saffron party workers and raised slogans against the BJP. They want immediate change in the party’s stand on reservation.

Their ire was particularly directed against the deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi who has recently supported demand for reservation in the private sector.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar has repeatedly raised the demand for quota in private sector and in outsoruing companies.

This is not the first time in the recent months that several upper caste youths have created such scene inside and outside the BJP office.

Swarna Sena is a sort of private political ‘army’ of upper caste youths.

Incidentally, some of those who are protesting against the quota had their association with the BJP or its youth wing.
