Train stopped after cracker burst near track





Patna,(BiharTimes): The 13134 Down Varanasi-Sealdah Upper India Express was forced to stop for 15 minutes after a cracker burst near the track between Buxar and Baruna on the Patna-Mughalsarai section of East Central Railway (ECR) at about 12:05 PM on Monday.

The incident took place when the train had barely moved two kilometres from Buxar railway station towards Baruna in the east. The spot is about 100km west of Patna.

The train was allowed to go after 15 minutes as it did not suffer any damage.

Patna rail superintendent of police Jitendra Mishra said forensic experts are saying, prima facie, it appears someone burst a cracker near the track. No splinter was found at the blast site.

He further said the forensic team would submit its final report after a thorough probe. Samples were collected from the blast site.
