CM cracks whip, asks CS, DGP to probe BSSC paper leak





Patna,(BiharTimes): Responding to the allegations of leakage in question papers of the intermediate level examination of Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday directed chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and director general of police (DGP) P K Thakur to investigate the matter from all angles.

Talking to the media he promised stern action if any wrongdoing is detected. He said he talked to the chief secretary and the DGP after newspapers flashed the news.

The chief minister said he had asked them to probe the entire matter from every angle, provide all information to him and then take suitable action.

According to reports the Zonal IG, Patna, Nayyar Hasnain Khan has formed a nine-member special investigation team (SIT) under senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaaj to probe the alleged paper leak.

The origin of question paper leak can be traced on January 29 when the first phase of the BSSC intermediate-level preliminary examination was held to fill around 9,600 vacancies in various departments.

The examination is being held in four phases given the large number of candidates. The second phase of exam was held on February 5. The remaining two phases are to be held on February 12 and 17 respectively.

Different sets of questions are being asked in different phases.
