Patna,(BiharTimes): The political masters may call it an exercise to save one’s own skin. Others may find truth in the allegations level by those who are under scanner.
The fact may be a mixture of both.
Now both the chairman and secretary of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission are putting the blame on politicians as well as fellow bureaucrats.
The chairman, Sudhir Kumar, who too has been questioned by the SIT is reporteed to have stated that he is always under pressure from politiians who would press to appoint the candidates recommended by them.
He conceded that he used to get regular recommendations from politicians for getting their near and dear ones appointed in government jobs.
He accepted that politicians would regularly visit his office for this purpose and added that nobody can deny the fact that wherever appointment takes place in the gpvernment it is done on the basis
of their recommendations.
“Often I tell them to send me SMS. How long should I make them angry?” he reportedly said.
On the other hand the arrested BSSC secretary Parmehwshwar Ram, said some
seven ministers, nine IAS officers and 29 legislators were allegedly involved in the racket which surfaced earlier this week.
